Ojih Odutola was born 1985 works on a large scale in charcoal, pastel, pencil, and pen. She has a focus on narrative art and strives to create art that conveys stories with themes of meaning and memory. She has been in a myriad of exhibitions both solo and in groups on the international scale. Some of the most notable galleries her work has been displayed in have been the Hirshorn, Barbican Centre, Kunsten Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, and many more. The texture she is able to convey due to her medium is admirable, and her ability to convey visual intrigue with a rather simplistic composition is impressive. I also enjoy the color scheme and the incorporation of modern fashion, which has been a struggle for me in my own work.
