Stanley Rayfield Experience Post

Attending the Artist Talk with Stanley Rayfield was very interesting. I enjoyed how he went through his art chronologically and then talked about his experiences as an artist and what he was doing when he was making the art he displayed. I learned a lot about what it takes to be an artist and what art school entails. It was also interesting to see how Rayfield put his artwork out their through competitions and gettign a deal with a gallery. It was also fun to hear from someone who had their piece in the VMFA, as I had seen the piece multiple times on my trips there.
