With this artist talk I learned about an artist that I was vaguely aware of beforehand. I had attended the awakening exhibition and the work of Sherpa had stood out immensely due to his contemporary aspects along with his mastery of traditional practices. learning more about the history of his work was really interesting and made me even more interested in seeing the exhibit. I was also interested in seeing how the vmfa organizes the art that they display it.
